Rich initially trained at Saddleback Church as a Church Counselor after a successful career in marketing and advertising. That ministry experience was so fulfilling that he went back to graduate school to get additional training and his advanced degree in Counseling Psychology so that he could work with you and yours to feel better and get better fast.
In addition to an extensive private practice, Rich was on staff as a Psych Therapist in the Behavioral Health department at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach (formerly South Coast Medical Center) for 9 years where he was honored to work with Inpatient Psychiatric, Day Treatment, Chemical Dependency and Eating Disorder patients and their families. At the hospital, Rich gained valuable experience helping clients deal with profound challenges that many therapists rarely see. That may be one of the many reasons he is so effective. Doctors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Psychotherapists refer their most challenging patients to this hospital program when they would benefit from a more intensive therapeutic experience.
